What is this?
A blog of how I am navigating the chaotic world of Cybersecurity - in my own terms.
Why?
There’s a ton of material on cybersecurity on the internet - books, blogs, videos etc. and every time I open something, I feel like I am already behind and oftentimes overwhelmed.
I often gave up just 30 minutes into it because I would still be decoding what the author meant in the first paragraph or trying to catch up to the tutorial.
Over time I understood that me not processing information as fast or the way the author intended was not their fault - but it wasn’t mine either.
Realizing this did not make me feel any less dumber.
I started “Translating” what I saw and heard so my brain can understand better.
This changed everything.
Whenever I teach/mentor someone the most common feedback is - “You make it sound so simple”.
That’s when it hit me: maybe being the translator is my thing.
Because navigating this world — especially when your brain works differently — comes with a thousand invisible struggles. From spending hours just trying to ask a question, to the mental gymnastics of hitting 'join' on a Zoom call.
This blog is me making space for that.
This is how I see cybersecurity.
And if even one person out there reads this and thinks, “Wait, same,” — then I’ve already succeeded.
Get on board, bestie.
We’re jumping headfirst into the chaos — together.
